Get Comfy Cozy in the All-New LuLaRoe Serena Lounge Shorts | Fit, Feel, & Sizing

As someone who runs fifty million degrees hotter than the average bear, you can usually catch me in shorts. Sometimes, even in winter. Which is one of the many reasons I am so excited about the launch of the all-new LuLaRoe Serena lounge shorts! We all need more seasonally transitional pieces in our life.


The LuLaRoe Serena lounge shorts are made of a cotton-polyester blend that feels soft and cottony on the outside, while having a plush and fleecy feel on the inside. Just like buttah. The LuLaRoe Serena lounge shorts also feature a wide and super-stretchy elastic band made for rolling, pockets, and a cute hemline with a flirty detail on the side.

Now let's take some time to talk about LuLaRoe Serena lounge shorts sizing, especially for plus-size fit. I am a 20/22 in regular department store clothing, and typically purchase size 2 or 3 in Torrid styles and XL/2X/3X in LuLaRoe styles, both dependent on cut and fit. I am also 5'9" if that helps! And a 42 DD across the chest. So, according to the LuLaRoe Serena size chart, I should be a 2X.

Although LuLaRoe used to be known for their oversized styles, we don't see them quite as frequently as we used to. Which is why I was presently surprised to find that these LuLaRoe Serena shorts are cut quite roomy!


Pictured here I am wearing XL in the Serena shorts, which is a full size-down on the size chart for me. I tried on a pair of 2X Serenas, but I feel like they have too much fabric for my legs.


Ultimately I am going to recommend that people stick to the size chart for roomy comfy lounge shorts, or to size down one for a more fitted look.

No One Stands a Chance When You Rock the LuLaRoe Navy Cross Back Dress | Fit, Feel, & Sizing

Summertime was made for dresses. Maxi dresses, midi dresses, mini dresses, we love them all. And that's why I am so excited to announce the release of the all-new LuLaRoe Navy cross back dress, the cutest new addition to your wardrobe.


The LuLaRoe Navy cross back dress is made up of 80% polyester and 20% spandex, a slinky scuba material that is soft to the touch with great stretch. The LuLaRoe Navy dress also features a cute cross back design, functional pockets, and a flirty front slit for a little extra attention to detail.

Now let's take some time to talk about LuLaRoe Navy cross back dress sizing, especially for plus-size fit. I am a 20/22/24 in regular department store clothing, and typically purchase size 2 or 3 in Torrid styles and XL/2X/3X in LuLaRoe styles, both dependent on cut and fit. I am also 5'9" if that helps! And a 42-44 DD across the chest. So, according to the LuLaRoe Navy size chart, I should be a 2X.

Dresses have always been, and will always be, my jam. I think the LuLaRoe Navy is such a fun dress!


Trying on multiple sizes, I found my true to size 2X (pictured) to be my best fit in the LuLaRoe Navy.


I could physically size down into an XL, but it became too snug across the hips; and then I tried on a 3X, but it was simply too roomy.


Ultimately, I think most ladies should stick to the LuLaRoe Navy size chart for best fit, and only size up if extra chesty or in-between sizes.

Although I am not usually a skirt gal, I simply could not resist ordering the LuLaRoe Samantha plissé skirt for my little shop! The fun colors make me excited for warm summer nights, and the breezy material is utterly flowy and fabulous.


Trying on multiple sizes of the LuLaRoe Samantha skirt, I ultimately felt most comfortable in my size-chart size--the 2X.


Trying on both a size up (3X) and size down (XL), I did not feel those LuLaRoe Samantha skirts fit as intended; however, I do think some ladies could easily size down if they are not especially curvy.


My ultimate sizing recommendation is to stay true to the LuLaRoe Samantha size chart for ideal fit!
