When I first started selling LuLaRoe back in 2017, there were like... 12 styles, and all of them VERY modest. If you had told me that 2023 LuLaRoe was slinging body suits I would have laughed out loud, and yet HERE WE ARE BABY 👏 The very first of it's kind, the all-new LuLaRoe Hope body suit is here to break the mold--and then some.
The LuLaRoe Hope body suit originally launched back in fall of 2022 but I wasn't able to order them at the time, which is why I was so excited to see this style restock once more. The Hope body suit is made of a 78% polyester 22% spandex blend that gives it a slinky, almost scuba-like texture that's perfect for keeping everything smooth and in place. With a racerback cut and two sturdy snaps securing the crotch, the LuLaRoe Hope styling possibilities are endless!
Now let's take some time to talk about LuLaRoe Hope body suit sizing, especially for plus-size fit. I am a 20/22/24 in regular department store clothing, and typically purchase size 2 or 3 in Torrid styles and XL/2X/3X in LuLaRoe styles, both dependent on cut and fit. I am also 5'9" if that helps! And a 42-44 DD across the chest. So, according to the LuLaRoe Hope size chart, I should be a 2X.
Trying on the LuLaRoe Hope body suit I found that I can wear two sizes fairly comfortably: 2X and 3X (pictured.)
While the 2X Hope body suit fits me pretty perfectly, sizing up to the 3X does give me a bit more chest coverage while giving me what can only be described as "diaper-butt" because of the loose fabric around my booty.
If you have a little more junk in the trunk than I do (which isn't hard to do!), I think sizing up in the LuLaRoe Hope is a great option. Otherwise I think most ladies will like their fit according to the LuLaRoe Hope size chart.
